SS18 Trend Report – What To Expect

Welcome to the Asian Bride Designs Spring / Summer 2018 trend report.

Yes, we are in full swing of wedding season now. The sun is out (finally!) and not a snow flake is in sight. What better way to start this seasons trend report than sharing inspiration from the genius wedding designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

2017 wedding trend was a definitive homage to the Royal Rajasthani style, with panelled brocade lehengas and banarsi silks. The trend continued with the eventual release of Bollywood epic movie Padmavat, where we saw the Royal Rajasthani style in all its glory and full beauty. At the end of 2017, Ansuhka Sharma wowed us all with her breathtakingly beautiful Reception outfit, the fully embellished sequin lehenga
And how can we forget the iconic Vogue India shoot with Kim Kardashian wearing the stunning sequined red saree by Sabyasachi.

As styles transfer to the UK market, we will continue to see more sequin outfits being made available in our Asian clothing stores. You will find elaborate bridal sequin styles in the market, as well as glam party wear style.
This stunning Anarkali pink suit with stunning heavy sequin embellished full sleeved top is an excellent alternative for a bride (or bridesmaid) who appreciates simplistic elegance at a wedding. Match this with effortlessly glam open hair, bronze skin finish and a touch of nude glossy lips, for a match made in heaven!
